This training course covers issues that would be viewed as essential for designated compliance personnel dealing with the threat and dangers imposed by the spread of COVID-19 in the work environment, including the return to work process.
Some companies may use different terminology to describe this compliance role, such as ‘Lead Worker Representative’; ‘Compliance Warden’; ‘Lead Worker Ambassador’ or ‘Compliance Marshall’.
Following the Irish Government’s recent protocol, this is a mandatory role required of all Irish workplaces during this time. The programme is approximately 1 hour long and is divided into 3 sections:
- Section 1 discusses COVID-19, how it is spread, its symptoms, and how to protect ourselves and others at work.
- Section 2 examines the role of the Compliance Officer and the duties and workplace practicalities that fall under this designated role.
- Section 3 looks at broader areas that need to be considered, such as Health & Safety documentation; how to respond to suspected or confirmed instances of COVID-19; the prevention of cross-contamination; and first-aid responder guidance.
